moving house, banging brunches & the best book I've read this year

hello hello hello! Long time, no speak! It’s been two weeks since I sat down to write a weekly review, and it’s been a crazy busy two weeks, mainly because me and the fam moved house. We’ve only moved 5 mins down the road, but it still felt like a mammoth task - I really don’t know how people move all the time!

So, this is a short and sweet weekly report, but I’ll be back properly next week!

And I’d love to hear what microadventures you’ve had this week (I’m actually on one right now, as I’m spending 24 hours in Glasgow!)

R - When I was in Leeds, I went to Holdfast bookshop, the most gorgeous bookshop, on a canal boat and it’s so magical! I picked up The Full Moon Coffee Shop, and what a brilliant, magical, insightful book that I cannot recommend enough!

E - I actually had the most gorgeous brunch today in Glasgow, at The Brunch Club. Truffle hollandaise sauce, crispy kale and poached eggs and it was chefs kiss

P - Shrinking Season 2 has just come out on Apple TV and it is such a brilliant show - I can’t recommend it enough. It’s written by the creator of Scrubs and Brett Goldstein (aka Roy Kent) and it’s brilliantly funny, with some very dark humour. A must watch!

O - I love a fleece, and I love the brand Lucy & Yak, and they brought out a load of new designs. I am obsessed with them, and may have picked a new one up for the collection 👀

R - For as long as I can remember, I’ve lived with anxiety, and it’s been rearing it’s ugly head a lot over the last few months. One thing that’s kept me sane through this the Calm app. I love this app, and they have different pathways to help with wherever your head is at, which I find really useful!

T - it’s exactly one week since we moved house, and the best thing about last Friday was the takway curry we got from our local Indian. It was pure perfection and the perfect treat after a very stressful day!
