who else saw the incredible aurora last night?? one of my dreams is to be able to see the northern lights, and it was magical to get to see them over us last night. The hints of red in the sky was gorgeous, and it was incredible to see it overhead, especially after missing seeing them earlier this year!
It made me realise just how special the small, unexpected microadventures are. We just got up, in the car, and headed on a quick drive to where there was no light pollution. It was so lovely to see so many other people out too, chasing a glimpse of the magic above us.
R- I finished reading The Pumpkin Spiced Cafe this week and absolutely adored it - the perfect seasonal, cosy, romance read. And whilst I was in Leeds this week, I headed to the bookshop on the canal, and picked up the full moon coffee shop, which I cannot wait to get stuck into.
E- one thing you can guarantee when I spend the weekend with friends is that good food will be eaten. We headed to Meat Stack in Newcastle and god, this burger was everything.
P- we rewatched the full twilight franchise over the weekend, and the nostalgia was real. one thing I’d low key forgotten was just how good the soundtracks to the films are, and I’ve spend the rest of the week listening to it none stop!
O- one thing I love is tea, and whilst I was in Newcastle, we headed to the bird and blend tea shop, and there were so many tasters to try! I just love how many caffeine free teas they have here!
R- If you’re heading to Durham, make sure to take the time to go for brunch at Flat White Coffee. Yes, you usually have to queue up to get in, but it’s so so worth it! I had garlicy mushrooms, which came with a fried poached egg on top and it was oh so good!
T- I feel like so much of this week has been filled with lots of treat me moments - from some lovely food, to browsing bookshops. But the biggest treat has to have been able to see the northern lights!
