I love a micro adventure. It’s my bread and butter. For the last 2 years, I’ve had a weekly micro adventure, and they just make life feel more fun, and like you’re actually living!
I love writing these monthly lists to help give you some inspo for your own adventures!
1. Collect & Craft with Fallen Leaves
Head to a forest or park to gather colourful leaves, pine cones, and acorns. Once you’re home, you can make simple autumn crafts like leaf garlands or decorated wreaths. This activity brings a piece of your adventure indoors and is a great one for all ages.
2. Head to a bonfire
Remember remember the 5th of November. Head to a bonfire, and maybe bring along marshmallows or flask of hot spiced cider - although a lot of organised bonfires have food stalls as well to warm you up as you wait for the fireworks! I don’t know about you, but there’s nothing better than a crackling fire to embrace the cooler season.
3. go to a light experience
Something I’ve noticed over that last few years is the rise in these light installations and experiences, and I am here for it. Whether it’s across a whole city, in a stately home, or a park, these experiences always feel so magical!
4. Autumn Food Market Trip
November is a perfect time to wander a local food market, with seasonal produce like apples, pumpkins, and root vegetables. Bring along a basket and pick up fresh ingredients, and don’t forget to get yourself some warming treats like pies or mulled drinks to enjoy whilst you’re there.
5. Misty Morning Woodland Walk
On a foggy morning, head out for a quiet woodland or countryside walk. The mist adds a magical, otherworldly feel and it’s a fantastic time to snap some photos. Just wrap up warm and savour the calm of the autumn morning.
What microadventures are you planning for November?
I love this list, it’s right up my street 🍁😊🙏
Lovely ideas - thank you! And that photo is absolutely amazing!!! 🥰
