hello and happy autumn š how are you doing?
The last 7 days have been a bit of a whirlwind as I spent the first half of the week in London. Thereās something about starting the week out of routine that knocks the whole week off, and thatās exactly how I feel!
One thing Iāve been getting very excited about this week though is autumnal microadventures! I do love the cosy feeling of this time of year, and there always seems to be so many events to go to. From pumpkin picking, to Halloween events, to light shows, thereās something for everyone. Iāve just booked onto a Winter at Sizergh Castle, which is a light and sound installation which I canāt wait for, and I already have my pumpkin picking booked in too!
Iām going to spend this evening making a list of things I want to do this autumn, to make sure I make the most of the season! Iād love to hear what microadventures youāre planning this season in the comments!
R - one thing I love about long train journeyās is reading, and I read the whole of Jaqueline Wilsonās Think Again on my train down to London. There was something so magical and nostalgic about reading a Jaqueline Wilson book again, and I so hope she writes more for adults!
E - Iām going to be doing a full London round-up in a post going out next week, but I need to tell you about the Carbonara I had at Ave Mario in Covent Garden. Served in a whole round of pecorino, this carbonara is so rich in flavour, and you just donāt want it to stop.
P - have any of you seen Nightsleeper on BBC1?? If not, you need to go and watch it. I am absolutely hooked. It takes place on a sleeper train, which essentially gets hacked, and itās on the edge of your seat watching! Lemme know if youāre watching!
O - Stationary. Plain and simple. Iām obsessed with stationary. Since getting back into journaling, Iāve reignited my love of all things pens, paper, stickers and everything! Whilst I was in London, my friend Amber took me on a tour on some of the most gorgeous stationary stops and it took all my willpower to not buy everything in sight!
R - I went to see Guys and Dolls on Monday and wow, what a show! Itās such a brilliant show, and the staging blew me away.
T - I feel like this week has had a whole load of treat yourself moments! But I headed to Daunt Books, and one thing I like to collect from trips is books, and I bought a new clothbound classic and I canāt wait to get stuck into it
Iād love to hear what microadventures youāve been up to this week!
Iāll be back early next week with postcards from London before our weekly review š©·
